Across Afghanistan, many people—especially women and vulnerable groups—face barriers in accessing justice and knowing their rights. BEST promotes human rights and legal awareness through community outreach, training, and advocacy, ensuring that every voice is heard and respected.
Through partnerships with national and international organizations, BEST conducts legal literacy sessions, supports women’s empowerment initiatives, and strengthens the capacity of local authorities to uphold justice and human rights for all.
BEST delivers legal rights training for teachers, youth, and community members, women’s rights awareness campaigns addressing gender-based violence, constitutional rights, and legal protection mechanisms, and capacity building for prosecutors, police, and justice officials on human rights principles. BEST has partnered with the US Embassy, UN Women, and Counterpart International to promote women’s empowerment and the elimination of violence against women (EVAW).
